U 050

A c.1910 view of the river taken from the bottom of the Dean. The footpath on the far left is the one that leads to the Eel House. The clearly defined river running through the centre of the photograph also runs towards the Eel House. This part of the river, a division of the main river, is now narrow and overgrown. The split in the river at this point formed a clearly defined island, which could then be seen on the right of the photograph.
