This photograph which is thought to have been taken in the garden of ‘Cranley’, 43 Broad Street, shows soldiers of the Argyll Highlanders
whilst they were being billeted in Alresford before moving to Bramshott in early 1915 to commence final training.
On the 11th May 1915 the Argyles landed in France.
