The Hobby Horse, 6-8 Broad Street. Photographed in 1972. A mixture of junk shop, second hand furniture, social centre, bargain basement, treasure chest, bran tub, tea and coffee. All under the attentive eye of the proprietors Monica and Guy Ingram and a caged minor bird who would welcome customers with a friendly “hello”. Shortly after this photograph was taken the shop was converted into a chinese restaurant retaining the same name.
