Introduced by the government to run from 3rd to 31st August, the “Eat Out To Help Out” scheme was designed to encourage people to visit participating restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs, where they could get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner. The discount was on offer every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This scheme was welcome by many Alresford businesses who had been completely closed during the Lockdown and were slowly opening their doors again to the public.
