Soldiers dressed in their ‘blue hospital suits’ photographed in front of Old Alresford Place. The owner at the time was Mr Percy Laming, a london stockbroker. His wife was an active member of the British Red Cross and during the First World War Old Alresford Place served as
a convalescence home for wounded soldiers.
The brick wall on the left of the picture and the stable block beyond have both now been demolished.
