The images on this site have been collected by me over many years and together with those kindly sourced by other organisations connected with the town and other individuals they form a valuable historical record and fascinating insight into the streets, the buildings and the daily lives of the people who lived and worked in Alresford and the surrounding villages during the past century. Most of the early photographs in the collection, especially those dating from the early part of the last century, were taken by local photographers and those working for postcard companies, so many of these images are digitally reproduced from old postcards. This site is an ongoing project, being constantly updated with additional photographs as they become available. Please bookmark this site and call back regularly.
This site is a non profit making venture, however, I am often asked if I can provide copies of prints from the collection. If you would like to discuss prices for copy prints, or indeed, have any comments about this site, or information that may be added to the captions, or if you have any old photographs that I can add to the collection . . .
Please e-mail info@AlresfordHeritage.co.uk
COPIES OF PRINTS FROM THE COLLECTION CAN ALSO BE ORDERED AND COLLECTED PERSONALLY FROM
OAKLEAF STATIONERY, 56 WEST STREET, ALRESFORD SO24 9AU
Every picture in this collection contains a unique reference number and wherever possible I have included an approximate date and also any relevant interesting information
